The Studio
Did you know that Really Interactive is an employee cooperative? This means we have a different ownership structure from most other companies.
Usually, companies are either publicly traded or privately held. With publicly traded and private companies that have investors, there is typically pressure to put profits and growth above everything else, since most people who buy shares in companies they didn’t start themselves do so to make a profit.
As an employee cooperative, Really Interactive is instead fully owned by an association, in which only employees can become members. Each member has one vote in all important matters that affect the company’s future. And if we should ever “strike gold” and make a big profit, the payout is shared fairly between all members.
Being a cooperative means there is no pressure on us to grow or make big profits, as long as we earn enough to pay our bills. Instead, the cooperative exists first and foremost to benefit its members - the employees. This means our prime focus is that all employees have a healthy, happy and stable work environment. That’s what makes Really Interactive a great place to work!
