Really Really Needs a
Programming Intern!
Update: This position has been filled!
—
This year we finally released our first own commercial title, Virtuoso - a virtual reality application that is changing the way people create and perform music. For the exciting journey ahead we want to take a programming intern onboard!
We’re looking for someone who gets excited by working with immersive technologies to join our team. We want you to learn from our experiences, teach us all the new stuff you’ve learned in class, and in the long run help us create more and better things for immersive mediums such as VR and AR. At Really Interactive we’ve had an amazing journey, starting with building things for Angry Birds and Minecraft, and then crafting immersive experiences for a decommissioned nuclear reactor.
Thanks to Virtuoso, we’re now in a spot where we can focus 100% on our own stuff. This fall we plan to start a second project with the goal of changing how people play games in VR.
Working at Really Interactive you’d get some great benefits, including:
● 32 hour workweek (full-time), flexible hours and no crunch
● Work on exciting new projects that push the boundaries of VR and AR interactivity
● Spacious, cosy and central office with ample opportunity for dog cuddles
● Safe space - we do not work with people who have questionable ethics
Our ambition is that the internship will transition into full employment if we’re all happy with the work. When that happens, you’d also get:
● 30 days of vacation per year
● Pension, insurance and paid-for physical exercise of your choice
● Long term ownership and equal mandate at the company. Really Interactive is fully independent and owned and run by its employees as a cooperative.
We hope to find someone who is enrolled in a vocational programming course and looking to start a six-month internship (or longer) in the second half of 2022. We are however open to applicants from all backgrounds and experience levels, as long as you can and want to do programming. The role is on location in Stockholm, Sweden, with an opportunity for some of the work to be done remotely.
To apply, send a brief introduction along with code examples to hello@really-interactive.se. The code examples should be things you have written yourself, in C# or C++, and consist of roughly two to four classes that work together within the same project. The code does not have to be executable, we will only be reading it to get an idea of your ability to solve problems using code that is well structured and easy to follow.
Good luck, we look forward to hearing from you soon!
