We Really Need a Manager!

Update: This position has been filled!

We do some awesome things at Really Interactive, from making virtual music instruments in our app Virtuoso to creating stuff you can find in Angry Birds, at Childish Gambino concerts and in a decommissioned nuclear reactor. And the best thing? All of our employees own and run the company together from a cozy attic in Stockholm, where everyone gets a vote and shares in the success.

But now, we need your help!

While we’re great at making polished experiences, with close to ten people in the team it’s becoming a full time job just to handle things like administration, budgeting and business development. And while we like keeping things flat and democratic around here, we could definitely use some help in making sure we’re prioritizing the right tasks and letting nothing slip between the cracks.

Our next project is a VR game based on scientific research about terraforming, in space, with aliens. Wow! It’s already been fully funded, so this is a unique chance where you can help us deliver something great, all while becoming part of an independent company where we really value equality and work-life balance.

Here are the main things we would want you to work with:

  • Facilitating development by making sure that everyone has what they need to complete their tasks and can merge them into a shippable whole.

  • Managing the studio, from premises, tools and services to invoices and receipts.

  • Planning for the future through budgeting and exploring funding opportunities, and thinking about the long-term strategy of our company and the things we create.

This job is on-site in Stockholm with possibility to work remotely a few days each week, so you must be living near Stockholm or be willing to relocate. We work four days a week and consider this full-time, but the job can be started at 50% or 75% of that if you have ongoing engagements. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds as long as you are a structured person who is great a communicating and helping teams achieve their goals.

Are you or someone you know interested? Send us an introduction email to jobs@really-interactive.se. In the email, please answer the following two questions:

  • What do you think should constitute “success” at a company like Really Interactive?

  • How do you balance the need for structure and organization with the flexibility required in a small creative team?

The start date for this position is flexible and we will be conducting running interviews until we’ve found a good fit. Note that this position requires you to work on location in Stockholm, and you must be an EU citizen or have a work permit in Sweden to apply.

We look forward to hearing from you!
